How to pick flight simulator
-
The first aspect that you need to consider when looking for a flight simulator is whether you want as close as you can get to the real thing or that you prefer a simple video game. The top level flight simulators can mimic the real thing and give you the complete flying experience.
-
The second aspect is what you are looking at in terms of scenery. Does the flight simulator allow you to travel and explore a large area such as the world map? Does the lakes, rivers, towns and cities look like the real thing? Does the flight simulator area allow you to travel and train at world airports and all of their details from weather conditions to sloping runways to the building structures.

The last critical aspect is the number of aircraft available to the flight simulation program. If the software only comes with a handful of airplanes and they all handle exactly the same this type of software will not be as exciting in a couple of weeks. The top end flight simulators include dozens of aircraft that all handle uniquely to add to the realism of the program
